Sri Gaudiya Giti-Guccha (Songbook)

The Sri Gaudiya Giti-Guccha includes songs in Bengali, Sanskrit and Hindi languages and are sung mainly in the Gaudiya-Vaishnava movement.

These special songs were composed by great personalities and have been brought together in this work over the centuries.

Spiritual singing is a very important practice in the Gaudiya Vasinava movement and it equals to a prayer. The so-called "kirtans" can be sung in quiet solitude, as well as in communal gatherings and are often accompanied by numerous instruments.
